Started its activities in October 2008, Pera Museum’s Film and Video Programming aims to inform and entertain the museum audience by underlining the importance and diversity of film and video with monthly programs featuring classic and experimental cinema, animation, documentaries, short films and video art screenings。 Pera Film also hosts special shows that directly correlate with the temporary exhibitions’ themes。 Having organized joint projects with leading international museums, film schools, and institutions including Centre Pompidou, Swedish Film Institute, Lodz Film School, Ars Electronica, Pera Film has introduced Turkish audiences to internationally acclaimed directors include Michelangelo Antonioni, Agnieszka Holland, Andrei Tarkovsky, Barbara Hammer, Eric Rohmer, Ingmar Bergman, Pier Paolo Pasolini, and Catherine Breillat。
